What is the PANIO HD1000 / HD1002?

The HD1000 / HD1002 is a professional HDMI extension and distribution platform designed and manufactured in Taiwan. It carries 1080p60 HDMI video, RS-232 and IR over Cat5e/Cat6 for up to 100 meters per hop. Every compatible receiver can continue the cascade, enabling system distances up to 1,000 meters, while HDMI and VGA receiver endpoints can be mixed to support both modern and legacy displays.

Key System Advantages

Designed & Made in Taiwan

PANIO Taiwan engineering and local manufacturing deliver a professional AV platform focused on controlled quality, dependable compatibility and long-term project operation.

Every Receiver Can Cascade

Each compatible receiver can pass the signal onward to additional receiver stages, supporting flexible multi-zone expansion and a total cascading distance of up to 1,000 meters.

Mixed HDMI & VGA Receivers

Deploy compatible HDMI and VGA receiver endpoints within the same distribution architecture, reducing converter requirements when modern and legacy displays coexist.

100 m per Network-Cable Hop

Extend 1080p60 HDMI, RS-232 and IR signals up to 100 meters per hop over Cat5e or Cat6 cabling for classrooms, buildings and large commercial spaces.

Extension + Distribution

Use point-to-point extension, cascading receiver chains or Gigabit network-switch distribution to build one-to-one, one-to-many and multi-zone AV systems.

Pure Hardware, Plug-and-Play

Dedicated hardware processing requires no application software. EDID management improves display handshaking while IR and RS-232 support remote device control.

Taiwan Design and Manufacturing Quality

The HD1000 family is built around PANIO's Taiwan-based professional AV development and manufacturing workflow. This gives system integrators a consistent platform for repeatable deployment, mixed-display compatibility and long-term commercial operation.

Detailed Performance Capabilities

  • Extends HDMI video, RS-232 control and IR remote-control signals together through standard Cat5e/Cat6 cabling.
  • Supports full-HD signals up to 1920 × 1080p at 60Hz; interlaced 1080i signals are not supported.
  • Provides up to 100 meters of transmission distance for each transmitter-to-receiver or receiver-to-receiver cable segment.
  • Every compatible cascading receiver can continue the signal path, supporting a complete system distance of up to 1,000 meters.
  • Supports mixed HDMI and compatible VGA receiver endpoints, allowing different display interfaces to coexist in the same distribution project.
  • Transmitter local HDMI output provides convenient near-end monitoring without consuming a remote receiver position.
  • Supports scalable one-to-many distribution through a Gigabit network switch by adding compatible receiver endpoints.
  • Can be combined with compatible fiber media converters for multi-kilometer transmission where copper cabling is insufficient.
  • Built-in EDID automatic reading and management helps stabilize source-to-display negotiation across mixed display environments.
  • IR extension allows users to control source devices from remote display locations, while RS-232 supports professional control-system integration.
  • Compact metal housings and optional rack installation support equipment rooms, control rooms and permanent commercial deployments.
  • Pure hardware operation requires no software installation, account registration or cloud service.

Flexible Receiver Architecture

▸ Point-to-Point Extension

Connect one HD1000 transmitter to one compatible receiver for a straightforward 100-meter HDMI, IR and RS-232 extension link.

▸ Receiver-to-Receiver Cascading

Continue the signal through each receiver's cascade outputs to cover multiple building zones or extend the system progressively up to 1 km.

▸ HDMI/VGA Mixed Endpoints

Select compatible HDMI or VGA receiver interfaces according to each display location instead of installing separate external converters.

▸ Gigabit Switch Distribution

Build a scalable one-to-many display system by connecting the transmitter and multiple compatible receivers through a Gigabit network switch.

▸ Fiber Backbone Expansion

Pair the system with compatible fiber media converters when the project requires multi-kilometer links or fiber infrastructure between buildings.

▸ Local + Remote Display

Use the transmitter's local HDMI output for nearby monitoring while remote receiver endpoints deliver synchronized content to other zones.

Professional Applications

The HD1000 / HD1002 platform is designed for projects that need long-distance extension, repeated receiver cascading, mixed display interfaces and scalable signal distribution.

Schools & Campuses

Distribute one source to classrooms, halls and administration areas while mixing HDMI and VGA displays.

Corporate Buildings

Extend presentation and information sources across meeting rooms, lobbies and multi-floor office zones.

Command Centers

Deliver synchronized monitoring content with remote IR and RS-232 control across separated operator areas.

Retail & Public Signage

Expand one media source to multiple displays through cascading receivers or a Gigabit distribution network.

Industrial Facilities

Carry video and serial control between production areas, control rooms and equipment monitoring stations.

Exhibitions & Venues

Use staged receiver cascading to cover large spaces and connect different display interfaces at each location.
